I will attend the Brunch organized by the American Institute of Polish Culture in Miami, Sunday Jan 31 at 11 am at the Surf Club in Surfside, FL honoring Lech Walesa, founder of “Solidarity” Union in Poland who fought communism in Poland over 20 years ago. German film “Strike” features Walesa and his struggle coronated by success for freedom in Poland and other ex Soviet satellite countries.
I have been asked by the Human Rights for Cuba Organization to interpret Polish-Spanish for Lech Walesa at an interview in Radio Marti conducted by Omar Lopez Montenegro at the Freedom Tower in Miami on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 at 2 pm. and Monday night in Channel 41 in Oscar Aza’s

Cecilia Lawinski, Member of the Polish American Congress, Florida Chapter, of the American Institute of Polish Culture in Miami, and Life Member and Certified Translator of the American Translators Association (ATA), the leading translators organization in the United States with over ten thousand members in 90 countries, has been asked to be the official interpreter for Lech Walesa, Founder of “Solidarity” Union, former President of Poland and Peace Nobel Prize.
Ms. Lawinski, a Peruvian-Polish native and US citizen, will interpret this week in Miami from Polish into English and Spanish during the interviews on Cuban issues that Walesa will grant to the Hispanic Press including Radio Marti and Channel 41 in the programs that are broadcasted in l9 Latinamerican countries and Cuba.
